Just over six years ago, director Ryan Coogler attended the January Screenwriters Lab with his first feature Fruitvale Station.  Fruitvale Station premiered at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival and went on to win both the Audience Award: Dramatic and Grand Jury Prize: Dramatic.

Ryan Coogler has built a tremendous career since his first feature, with the success of Creed in 2015 and the highly anticipated opening of Black Panther.  Coogler’s passion for the power of storytelling is emblematic through each of his films and the response to his newest film exemplifies its importance.

Black Panther
is now playing nationwide.  Check out the trailer here.
